The Greenhills Studio was divided into two main phases. First, the joint architecture and interior design studio (of second, third, and fourth year students) discussed the unique community and the problems it faces. Working as individuals or in teams, these problems were researched and the information presented. From the collection of this information, individuals formulated proposals to correct the problems faced, and encourage growth of the town. Specifically, my research was done individually and focused on the affects of the main thoroughfare that cuts through the town, centering on the fact that the road fails to represent the town to passersby. From this information, my proposal was to slow traffic, and through landscape and architectural elements – present the town to those who simply pass through it.
