The first year architecture studio environment is unique. With the goals lying somewhere amongst the concepts of opening up the mind, tuning creativity, inducing teamwork, inducing individual efforts, introducing architecture, and learning the basics. The range of projects almost endless, with the following sections representing just a small selection of the years work. The gallery above contains images of a 15 person, quarter long development, design, and construction of an 8’x 8’x 8’ space reflecting the basic elements of architecture, such as form, space, lighting, color, etc. Of the team, I was personally in charge of the computer design, modeling, and rendering. The images above are of the actual physical construction, as well as a 1" = 1'-0" scale model, and a digital model. Below are links to animations rendered from the digital model (.mov format):
